What is "News" anymore?!

I've been over watching the news. I really feel like, what exactly is "news" anymore? The news reports on Trending Topics from twitter, who is dating who, and the latest tv gossip. While we are in a world with gas prices going up, wars, and death, people are trying to find out what's going on but get bombarded with images of Chris Brown's blonde hair. I really feel like if you want to know something, these days you have to find it out yourself. Depending on a news station or radio is not exactly going to do it anymore. So now I barely turn on my tv unless its strictly for entertainment purposes. My suggestion is do not let todays news and tv dictate how you feel....If you want to know something, go find it out for yourself.
